Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American sportscaster. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation often. The first time she worked at ESPN at the end of 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from age nine. Her skill was instrumental in her landing her first position as production assistant for Univision Miami, where she collaborated with producers of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. She was hired as reporter for an affiliate of the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. The journalist was employed with KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Reporting on stories related to drug trafficking and immigration both at the Texas and Mexico borders, she worked as a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Anchor duties for weather or sports were also frequently requested. Deportes 23 in Dallas, the Univision affiliate station for Dallas. There she had more duties. She did pieces on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She also hosted the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was promoted as anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She served in the same role for the magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents come native to Veracruz Mexico. The family moved towards Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. She has an older sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. The couple divorced shortly after in 1995. Her mother remarried one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who passed away of kidney cancer in the year 2006. At the end of June 2006, she spent a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta who was in high school with a plan of what she wanted her future to be like, visited Mount Union University to check what she could get out of the college. It turned out that she enjoyed the university and also that the university had the program she desired. She finished her education and received a scholarship to the University to pursue a degree in Media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a member. They developed a close relationship. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his passion in journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
